Hi, I’m Rutta P., a woman in her mid-40s moving through the beautiful and sometimes bewildering season of midlife. Somewhere between hormonal shifts, emotional tides, and the quiet ache for something more meaningful, I realized I wasn’t falling apart. I was becoming.
Slowly. Intentionally. Sometimes messily. But becoming nonetheless.
I’m a mother, a wife, a daughter, and a woman learning how to hold all of those roles with more grace and less guilt. This space is for me, and for you. For the parts of us we’ve quieted for too long, and the parts still growing beneath the surface.
This blog grew out of my own questions.
Why does my body feel unfamiliar some days?
Why does rest not always feel restorative anymore?
Why does pushing through feel heavier instead of empowering?
Here, I write about midlife honestly. The physical changes. The emotional unraveling. The quiet grief and unexpected clarity. The slow work of learning to listen to a body and a life that are asking for something different. You’ll find reflections, lived experience, research-informed insights, and practical ways to reconnect with yourself without pressure or perfection.
As part of this journey, I’m also deepening my understanding of women’s health and behavior. I’m currently enrolled in the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, where I’m learning how to support women through sustainable, body-aware change rooted in curiosity, compassion, and science. I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all answers. I believe in listening, learning, and meeting ourselves where we are.
If you’ve felt the quiet tug that there’s more waiting beneath the noise, more strength behind the softness, more wisdom in the pause, you’re in the right place.
If your body feels different.
If your energy feels uneven.
If the old ways no longer work the way they used to.
You’re not late. You’re not broken.
You’re becoming.
And I’m really glad you’re here.
